Exercise protocol

  • All riders may only be accompanied by their groom and instructor; NO spectators and NO members of the public.
  • Masks are to be worn at all times when not on the back of a horse.
  • Only KPC staff may make any adjustments to the track or fences.
  • All persons entering the property will need to comply with the COVID requirements, and will be screened at the gate, as well as provide KPC with their names, ID’s and telephone numbers for tracing purposes.
  • Any person who has been in contact, or is suspected to have been in contact with an infected person, or who has an elevated temperature will be refused entrance.
  • Persons arriving for exercise sessions will be required to stay on the Peter Minnie side of the grounds and use the warm-up arenas provided there.
  • Persons wishing to use the grounds for outrides, may not ride on the Peter Minnie side of the grounds, or use any of the warmup arenas.  You may use the Stubbs warmup fibre arena for flatwork exercise.
  • Should you wish to come through for an out ride, you need to inform us the day before by 12:00pm and advise the time you will be coming through.  You will only be allowed through the gate if your name is on the list.
  • No-one other than the KPC ground staff may touch any of the equipment.
  • Once completed with their exercise session, persons will be required to leave the property promptly.  For example, exercise session is booked for 10:00.  You will be admitted to the property at 9:15. Warmup from 9:30 to 10:00, exercise in the arena from 10:00 to 10:05, and leave the property by 10:20
  • Riders will not be permitted to arrive more than 45 minutes before their time slot, and will be required to wait outside the property should they arrive early.
  • Horses coming in a group on a truck, will be allowed to enter and park at the designated area, however the riders themselves will not be granted access until 45 mins before their slot.  Please only bring the minimum number of grooms.
  • Please maintain a minimum of 10 meters between vehicles. Tack up and untack close to your vehicle/horsebox so as to respect social distancing.
  • No socialising or congregating will be permitted.
  • Toilet facilities will be available at the Peter Minnie ablutions only.  Please practice all social distancing and hygiene regulations.
  • We reserve the right to change exercise time slots should we not have enough bookings for a specific day or hour.  We will do this after consultation with the booked rider and only when absolutely necessary.
