KPC is excited to welcome you to the 2025 South Africa Horse Of the Year Show!
We trust you will have a great competition, make and rekindle Showing friendships and go home having had a wonderful show!
There will be a HOSPITALITY MARQUEE set up between the Bob Charter and the Stubbs Arenas, which will be for you all to relax in as you watch the events in those arenas.
There will be a BAR and a SEATTLE COFFEE STATION set up there for you to enjoy.
Please feel free to use this facility anytime during the show, but please don’t walk through the areas to get to the tent. Please go around!
We have organised some events for you to enjoy throughout the show and we hope you’ll join us so there’s a festive atmosphere both in the ring and out of it.
TUESDAY 4th MARCH 2025
- KPC is hosting a WELCOME FUNCTION for everyone attached to the show on Tuesday evening at 5:30pm upstairs in the KPC/TLC Clubhouse.
- Please join us in whatever you are wearing (riding clothes are fine!) to have a drink, a snack and a get-together.
- There is no charge for this event.
WEDNESDAY 5th MARCH 2025
- Come to the KPC/TLC restaurant and enjoy a three-course meal for two and a bottle of wine for only R450 for both of you!
- Make it a Date Night or bring a friend and join in for the deal!
OR
- Get a team of up to six people together and join the Quiz Night, which starts at 19h00, also up in the restaurant!
- There is also HAPPY HOUR(S) from 11h00 to 13h00 and 17h00 to 19h00!
THURSDAY 6th MARCH 2025
GROOMS’ DINNER EVENING
Please buy a ticket for your groom to enjoy a delicious braai dinner in the Show Marquee from 6pm on Thursday evening. There will be music and their dinner may be eaten in the Show Marquee or packed in a take-away container for those who cannot stay. The cost is R150 per groom. We obviously cannot take bookings on the day and only grooms with armbands will be able to get dinner. If you haven’t already booked for your groom, please do so here:

Join us for a fabulous harvest table lunch on the balcony overlooking the Bob Charter on Sunday from 10am to watch the Supreme Championships. The cost is R420 per head. If you haven’t already booked, please do so here:
IMPORTANT NOTICES
- Please collect your SHOWING NUMBERS from the Show Office. They are yours to keep. We will have some string available, but you should supply your own hat elastic if you wish to use that. There is a wonderfully useful gift with each number from LAMÉE EQUESTRIAN! Be sure to collect yours with your number.
- KPC does not allow one to erect paddocks on the grounds. Please make sure you hand walk your horses if they need to be exercised and please do not graze your horses in the arenas even when they are empty!
- The STABLING LISTS have been published on the KPC website. The name of the horse allocated to that stable is written on the stable door. PLEASE DO NOT PUT A HORSE, EVEN FOR A MOMENT, INTO A STABLE THAT HAS NOT BEEN ALLOCATED TO THAT HORSE.
- Please make sure that no fires are started or cooking taking place in the stable block. Grooms need to cook in the area provided for cooking.
- There are plenty of plug points around the stable block and in the grooms’ area, but please be mindful of the electricity situation and avoid overloading the plug points. Also, please do NOT USE THE FIRE HOSES to wash horses!!
- There are skips available for manure and general rubbish. Please ask the grooms to make sure they empty their waste into the correct bin. The bins are clearly marked.
Should you require additional shavings, please purchase tickets from the Show Office during working hours of 8am-4pm. The KPC Team at the stables are not permitted to sell shavings to you directly.
